Princess' Story:Princess was taken in by Mental Health Services as her owner could no longer care for her. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Princess is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Princess was in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.

Since Princess has arrived she has been educating us...

First when you meet royalty, courtesy first please "our meetings are on my terms". Once met she will invite and allow you to enter into her court.

AND Princess does appear to be a rare crossbreed known as a Torbie: Tortoiseshell x Tabby
"the term “torbie” is short for tortoiseshell-tabby, and they were once referred to as reverse torties.
A Torbie is basically a cat that exhibits a mixture of two coat patterns: Tortoiseshell and Tabby coat patterns".

"Tabbies are cats with distinctive stripes, lines, dots, flecks, or swirling coat patterns on their bodies, sides, shoulders, chest, neck, flanks, or tummy.
They also have a distinctive dark “M” on their foreheads, some form of “eyeliners” around their eyes, and thin pencil strokes on their faces."

"Tortoiseshell cats are felines with tri-coloured coats that resembles the shell of a tortoise. The most common coat colour combination in tortoiseshell cats is red and black. You may also find other colour combinations like orange, gold, or cream. These can be either small patches of each colour or brindle pattern, consisting of each colour mottled throughout the body. Their genetics make them females (Queens)".

Princess is a little overweight at the moment.

She will settle well with us and become a Fave

On meeting Princess today, she was quite shy at first. But once she knew I was going to cuddle and stroke her, she enjoyed every minute.
I’m sure I will get to see more if her character as time goes by.

Princess was waiting for me at the door when I came in today, she walked around me and gave me lots of head bonks on my arms and let me stroke her head which she enjoyed as she started purring.

Princess knew her family when she met them even though she strolled passed them to feast on grass. She was happy for them to stroke and ever tucked her head around Kevin's hand. Yes she received both Kevin and Ivone very well. She was waiting for them when they came back with a carrier and stepped immediately into her carrier...a Golden Chariot off to occupy her Queendom.
