Moose's Story: Moose was found abandoned and unclaimed within a council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Moose is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Moose came in to our Rescue Centre nr Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our Dog Homing Questionnaire. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Moose's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: 4 dogs being put to sleep this morning Pound puller chose one giving him a lifeline and helping us with first 2 weeks kennelling costs Mx

Oh Moose, love at first sight! I’ve had my eyes on Moose from our coming soon section so had to meet him when I saw that he was in today.
Naturally he is a bit unsure but he was quite happy to come out with Georgia and I for a little stroll. He saw Wendy, Farran and Miley and didn’t make a sound and wasn’t bothered at all by their presence. He seems like a very sweet and gentle boy, I look forward to walking him again very soon!

OMG what a stunner Moose is
like others I’ve been watching the coming soon section on the forum and couldn’t wait to meet this boy.
He takes everything in his stride, we had a lovely mooch through the woods and most of the time I didn’t know he was on the end of the lead - that was until Moose spotted a squirrel
We met a few other dogs out on our walk and he watched them go past without any issues, the only reaction was when one of the dogs barked at him he barked back. I can’t wait to walk him again, I’ll have to join the queue but I don’t think he will be with us long!

Little Moose...once was a little boy! He obviously shown here with another dog.
Moose went to our Vets yesterday to restart his vaccinations. He made himself known ensuring Karen knew he had arrived. Moose was also very happy to share reception with a Schnauser and Cockerpoo.
Easy to manage when he was examined and he didn't notice his injection!
Travelled well just a little hesitant to get into the crate in the dog mobile but we were very confident to handle him

Re: Moose Am Bulldog x Pointer? DofB 23.01.24 Copthorne Weekend Foster
Moose is being the best boy with me on his foster break!
His favourite thing so far is lying upsidown & snoring on the sofa
He is full of so much love and affection
He has been brilliant so far with he has no interest in chewing anything not meant for him & when I was eating he sat down in front of me holding his paw up but didn’t try and approach and kept a respectful distance like a very good boy!
He did put both paws up on the kitchen side for a sniff afterwards but it was jut a sniff and he got down as soon as I said down.
He had a little cry when I went upstairs for 2minutes to change clothing as the stair gate was closed.
I popped to the local shop for 10minutes and he was fine when I got home.
We went on a long walk a he was brilliant on lead, very much enjoyed new sniffs & didn’t react to anything was just very interested in everything that was going on!
A absolute dream to have at home with me

Moose met his foster brother Bruno today he was absolutely amazing zero reactivity at all, just lots of sniffs then showing of rolling on his back, didn’t jump on him or anything and took treats well together and ate dinner in the same room perfectly they are best friends already!
