Godfrey's Story: Lucille and her partner have been living in an overgrown back garden and currently had 3 kittens. Lucille has had at least 4 litters and the kittens when caught have gone to friends, relatives or into Rescue. Godfrey is one of her current litters who was trapped he was about 11 weeks old. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Godfrey will be neutered by his receiving family, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Godfrey is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.

This baby was more confident than his sibling on arrival and quickly set about exploring the creche room, and enjoying their first sit on a comfy pet bed! He made friends easily with the other kittens and you can see them nestled in with 2 others in the group pic below (baby is next to the wall!). I am sure with all the love from the cuddlers this little one will soon be flourishing

Godfrey went to our vets today and was checked over, chipped, 1st vaccinated. Our vet prescribed Droncit as she suspected tape worm, so we gave him a tiny dose on return.

This is Godfrey. He absolutely loves playing and cuddling up with his siblings, especially Maude, his sister. I was told from the place they were strays, that he was always close to his sister Maude and obviously loves a snuggle with his Mum too. Sibling Dustin was usually a bit closer and more reliant on Lucielle (Mum) and when he was living as a stray, was always near her while his siblings would play together. Little Godfrey has unfortunately got the flu at the moment and tiny underweight kittens like this are so vulnerable this time of year. We would love to find him and his family home very soon but the new home will need to be patient and understanding with them and their history. They will get used to humans in time. They are already letting us get close with treats and get a little stroke in

It came to light yesterday that more local neighbours were feeding the strays and they would often visit inside her home to get food. The lady living a few doors down from where Tipsy, Lucielle, Gatsby, Thomas and kittens Godfrey, Maude and Dustin were trapped told me that they had been visiting from around June to October when we caught them. They didn't know about these kittens as they couldn't yet jump the fence to get to her house! It's so nice to see that they were comfortable to get closer to humans beforehand, albeit for lunch!! I've got real hope for this family

Also, we are still in the process of trapping another 2 or 3 from this family that we didn't realise were still out there!! This includes known Dad of dear little Godfrey and siblings.

The RR cattery is just about my favourite place to be because I meet little kittens like Godfrey and his siblings. He is just so endearing and is beginning to respond to human interaction. He loves his nice treats and comes forward to the pen door to get them. Of course, he now needs to be in a family home for more interaction with people and I so wish I were in a position to take him and maybe one of his siblings home. I have no doubt that someone will be in that position and little Godfrey will be leaving us soon. Before that happens I want to really spend some quality time with him and to get to know him much better. Watch this space!

Godfrey is a little shy but is growing in confidence.



Godfrey and Maude always together. Loki is more nervous and shy but with his sister by his side he feels a little more confident.

Dear sweet little Godfrey, you are a funny ole' fruit hehe.
This reminded me of those times you try to get older kids involved with kids games but they're too cool for school and don't want to join in!! Godfrey takes a bite while his relatives watch from afar!!
