Lucielle's Story: Lucielle and her partner have been living in an overgrown back garden and currently had 3 kittens (Maude, Godfrey and Dustin). Lucille has had at least 4 litters and the kittens when caught have gone to friends, relatives or into Rescue. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Lucille is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Lucielle is in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one or a pair of our cats, please complete our Cat Homing Questionnaire. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new cat within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay cats: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our cats need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our cats back-up for life.
Lucielle's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our cats, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.

The story as it unfolds: Lucille and her partner have been living in an overgrown back garden and currently had 3 kittens. Lucille has had at least 4 litters and the kittens when caught have gone to friends, relatives or into Rescue. One of our Cat Cuddlers visited and heard from the house owner and decided to seek help. Yesterday we sent our lucky trap down and within hours we had a stray cat who was possibly from an early litter (Tipsy). By the time of returning 2 of the kittens had been trapped. Next day Lucielle the mum was trapped and a male Gatsby possibly an earlier litter. They have all been transported into the Rescue by our Cat cuddler.
On writing this the 3rd kitten has been trapped.

This is pretty girl Lucille. She is the tiny SuperMum to 3 small kittens (1 not yet caught) and 2 older kittens Tipsy and Gatsby. At the moment she is extremely frightened. We don't believe she has ever had a home, shelter, warmth, food or water given to her freely and that her hubby would get anything he could find from the local stables to support his family and survive. They are all underweight and in dire need of tlc.
Unfortunately the 3rd kitten escaped so we have yet to catch them and the father still.
We are trying every day with support from all round.
We can't wait to give them all the love they so deserve

Lucielle seems still very confused on why she's been brought here, and admittedly terrified of being locked up. She will overcome this feelings when with time for sure. Regular meals and warm bed will help her settle!!
Lucielle allowed me near-ish her to put a bowl of food close to her.

Lucielle is now safe, spayed and she has had nexgard combo to address flea and worms and was tested for FiV and Felv and proved negative. So all good news.
Now Lucielle can relax and get used to humans whilst mixing with with other cats . Sooo pleased you're out of the weather for the first time in winter

Lucielle is biding her time in trusting humans understandably, as she's experienced a huge upheaval from life in the wild to a place she is finally cared for. She is frightened, but testing out what's on the menu which is a brilliant start for this sensitive sweet girl.
