If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £300 (£500 for a pup under 1 yr old). This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Oreo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original referral information: Urgent call as a Vet nurse was calling around frantic to find somewhere to help Oreo and Hugo.
Oreo came into RescueRemedies on the 20th September 25.

Re: Oreo Staffie x Frenchie DofB 26.04.24 In Vets comes 20th
I met Oreo this morning when I picked his brother up. Oreo was very friendly and gentle. This is a photo of him and his brother.

Oreo arrived today having travelled comfortably with 2 shepherds on the other side of the car guard. Lovely easy boy who enjoyed sniffing and feasting on fresh grass to up his mineral intake.
He carries his frenchie ears and has a soft note to his character. He'll have a few days of coming to terms with the comings and goings of kennel life but will build up friendships swiftly.
Welcome Oreo...we are very grateful the Vets saved your life...now you can go forwards to make your new family's lives.

I had the pleasure of walking lovely Oreo today for my last walk of the day!
Georgie came with me to get him out as he’s a little nervous boy but he was no trouble whatsoever. Slow and steady movements made him feel at ease!
He certainly is a little powerhouse, this boy is strong. We walked with another new arrival ‘happy’ and the boys walked beautifully together
As Oreo came in with his brother Hugo he looked to happy for reassurance and they both weren’t bothered by each other at all
He definitely walks very well in company and likes to be the leader
We came back and had a little cuddle and I think with love from all walkers he will soon come out of his shell. I will be adding this gorgeous boy to my list!!

I was lucky to walk little Oreo today. He accompanied me to the RR coffee morning for a mini photoshoot! Oreo loves treats and it wasn’t long before he had his nose in my bag seeking out the sausages! Oreo started off quickly, he walks very well and often looks back at his walker. When he sees there is a chance of a treat coming, he sits without any asking. He is incredibly gentle when taking treats. He was quite happy walking on his own today. He is a little nervous, so gentle and slow hand movements when first stroking and he’s happy for the attention. After our walk, we went back to the RR coffee morning for cuddles. I’m looking forward to walking him again but really hope his forever home comes first! Oh and I almost forgot, he has the cutest face and the most amazing ears! X

What a sweetheart. I walked Oreo on Thursday in the company of Joanne. We started with Joanne in the lead, and Oreo was pulling quite a bit, so we swapped the lead and Oreo was a perfect gentleman. If he got too far ahead he would sit down and wait for Joanne to catch up. He had several rolls in long grass, some cuddles and tummy rubs, and lapped it all up. Fabulous, easy boy.

I had the pleasure of walking Oreo for the first time today- what a gorgeous, gentle lad. He appeared more than happy for me to enter his kennel and he exited/ re-entered easily and calmly. Whilst he is a little pocket rocket, he was lovely to walk and showed no reaction to the people and dogs that we passed. He also enjoyed exploring and sniffing around paddock - he hasn’t quite got the idea of fetch yet!~and then came over for some attention. He waited so patiently for his leads to be put back on. He really is an amazing dog and I can’t wait to walk him again -assuming that he hasn’t been snapped up in the meantime!

I walked Oreo today for the first time and he’s a lovely dog! Little pocket rocket like someone else above said but does enjoy some sniffing too. He showed no reaction to any dogs and enjoyed exploring the paddock. I absolutely love his ears
