Sunray & Moonshine's Story: Sunray is a feral cat who has been living out in a schools grounds. She has had at least 5 litters and currently has one kitten Moonshine with her. Many kittens have been found dead over the few years she has been there. We have got involved to help the teacher who has been calling for help, as no one has come forwards. A wonderful Cat trapper will travel across London to help and we have loaned the carrier via our Vets. The teacher feeds at 6am so hopefully will be caught ?2nd Dec, all being well then taken directly into our Vets for health support and spay. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Sunray and Moonshine kitten are now neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Sunray & Moonshine were in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting their new family.

Original Referral information: Urgent email by a teacher who has tried every which-way to help Sunray & Moonshine. We got involved and facilitated taking them in as soon as they are trapped.

Sunray & Moonshine came into RescueRemedies on the 20th Dec. 24.

This morning Moonshine and Sunray both entered the trap but not together. So the trapper had to abandon their attempt. Another trapper has come forwards

This morning on a bitterly cold December morning, the day the School breaks up for winter recess...Sunray and Moonshine entered the trap together... eventually and were secured. They are now on their way to our Vets for assessment and their treatment plan.

Sunray mum and daughter Moonshine were collected from our Vets, and travelled in front in their carriers. Have just put them in for the night. It's raining and am thinking no longer out in the cold and wet.

Vet spayed mum estimated age 8 yrs old, bad teeth so will do dental in 3 weeks when back for 2nd vaccination. FIV negative. Now both spayed. Little one is about 4 months.

Both chipped and 1st vaccinated. The Vet said they are fast to move so, we are careful anyway but, not an ounce of chance given in their management! They are safe and remain so.

Mum and Kitty are settling in. Still a little stunned by their new environment but learning to trust.

Sunray is its behind the bed and watches, Moonshine is tabby, she in and out of the run, when she isn't cuddled up with Sunray. Slightly sound and movement and Moonshine escapes away...Sunray sits cool calm and observes...

Sunray and Moonshine are spending their last night with us. They are going back to our vets tomorrow for their 2nd vaccinations and Sunray will have a full dental.

They are then being adopted by Dawn, the mother of the couple who trapped them, to save their lives and make them safe! So off the Gloucestershire tomorrow after their treatment
