Lockie's Story: Lockie is a 3 year old who is very affectionate and loves dogs. He enjoys naps next to them and is fine with female cats but at an entire male he tends to be reactive and yodel at them. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Lockie will be neutered, chipped, and undergoing vaccinations. Lockie was in Gatwick Cattery whilst awaiting his new family.

Lockie came into RescueRemedies on the 7th April

Lockie was the cat we first noticed had flu as he sneezed on entry yesterday. He went to the vets today with his companions and although he has the flu a ted more severe than the others and his chest is slightly compromised. He is under weight. He is lively and it was a quest to hold him on the table whilst the Vet prepared various things between interventions. He showed no aggression but he is feisty in his determination to flee the table (I wished it had been videoed; Lockie was a little eel!). Lockie had 3 injections Anti-inflammatory, Anti-biotics and microchip.

When he is better he will be neutered and vaccinated.

Lockie has only been with us a few days and is recovering from cat flu so perhaps not feeling 100% fighting fit yet, so hasn't wanted to venture down into the enclosure to sunbathe and have a wander about with visitors yet. But he was very happy to have some strokes in his bedroom area, in fact he was so enthusiastic to launch himself into my arms for cuddles I managed to drop my phone so didn't get many pictures He's quite vocal and chatty, and very handsome indeed Clearly a cat who has experienced love and affection before and expects more, please!

Lockie is still a little shy after all the recent changes in his life, but I think he will come round with time and love.

Lockie has settled in enough to venture out of his bedroom and was out in the enclosure this afternoon having a snooze.

He is a beautiful boy! A little skinny but I'm sure he will be lovely and squidgy soon with some treats and good food.

Lockie wants attention and weaved in and out of my legs and enjoyed some strokes, but wasn't keen to sit on my lap yet. He is a little hissy at the other cats in his pen and might prefer his own territory in his forever home, where he can be King! With a dedicated new owner or family to worship him, I'm sure he will be a soppy boy in no time at all
